Southside is a three-bedroom cottage in the quiet village of Newsham, between Richmond and Barnard Castle. It sleeps five across a kingsize bed, a single bed, two singles, and a day bed, with two bathrooms to match. The ground floor holds a living room with woodburner and Smart TV, a fully equipped kitchen that opens to a sun room with dining table, and a shower room. Upstairs are the remaining bedrooms and a bathroom with both bath and shower. A private garden with furniture sits beyond the bifold doors, enclosed and south-facing. One car can park on site.
The essentials are covered—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, as is fuel for the woodburner. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. The cottage takes one pet free of charge. Smoking is not permitted inside.
Newsham sits between two market towns worth a visit: Richmond, with its Norman castle and Georgian Theatre Royal, and Barnard Castle, known for the Bowes Museum and independent shops. The Yorkshire Dales lie to the south, offering walks, waterfalls and open moorland. This is the sort of place to come for a few days of family time or with friends, where you can potter about locally or use it as a base for longer days out.
