Barbers Bolthole

North Yorkshire

Masham is a working market town in North Yorkshire with two breweries, independent shops and restaurants within easy reach of the Dales. Barbers Bolthole occupies a converted stone building in the heart of it—still recognisably the old barber's shop, but updated with contemporary comfort. The property sleeps five across three bedrooms and comes with a garden, patio and on-road parking.

Ground floor rooms include a living room with an electric wood burner and a separate sitting area without a TV, plus a kitchen with the full range of appliances for cooking from scratch; it opens onto the patio if you'd rather eat outside. Upstairs, the bedrooms are a zip-and-link super king (which can be split into two singles), a double and a single. There is one bathroom with a shower cubicle and bath. Heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and WiFi is available throughout. The owners have kept original features where they could and avoided the cookie-cutter holiday rental feel.

The location suits families and groups wanting to stay in town rather than the countryside, with a pub within a mile and the Yorkshire Dales accessible for day trips. A travel cot and high chair are available. No smoking indoors.
