Bloomers Bothy
North Yorkshire
Woodhall sits in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, a hamlet that puts you within easy reach of Askrigg's pubs and shops, Aysgarth Falls, and the walking trails that define the landscape. Bloomers Bothy is a converted studio on the edge of the village, privately yours with parking on site. The single open-plan room combines living, dining and kitchen space, with a bedroom area that can be curtained off. A woodburner in the sitting area provides warmth on cooler evenings, and a walk-in shower adjoins the main room.
The kitchen is fitted for real cooking—electric oven, microwave, slow cooker and fridge mean you can prepare proper meals rather than rely on takeaways. Freeview TV and Wi-Fi are there if you want them. Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity are all included in the price. The owners have a washing machine and tumble dryer available by arrangement. One well-behaved dog stays free.
A south-facing patio overlooks the river Ure with Addleburgh visible across the valley; beyond that lie grounds with a small lake. The setting suits walkers and cyclists, those exploring the Dales on foot or by bike, and anyone drawn to the James Herriot connections in nearby Askrigg. No smoking inside. Arrive after 4pm, depart before 10am.
