Cherish Glamping

We spent the most fabulous four nights here, in Oystercatcher yurt, for the Easter bank holiday. The site is reached by a rising, winding narrow road at the end of which we were greeted by a group of friendly chickens. The yurt overlooks beautiful, lush green views and the only sounds are sheep and birds. It’s got everything you need: super-comfy king-size four-poster bed, log-burner, dining table, fridge, kettle, coffee machine, cereal, bread, butter, milk for your cuppa. Stargazing from the lovely wood-fired hot tub was delightful……such a long time since I’ve seen so many stars (thanks to such low light pollution). A delicious breakfast is served each day, which is a fabulous touch, and such a relaxing way to start the day. On our first day, as we left site, we spotted our first ever golden pheasant in the bushes…..such a stunningly beautiful bird and, as we learned from Jo later, a regular site resident….so lovely to see. Cherish glamping is situated about halfway between the charming towns/villages of Askrigg and Hawes…..plenty of cosy Pubs, restaurants, a local brewery and little shops to visit. We also drove over the Settle (great Booths store there) and got the train up to Carlisle. A bit overcrowded on the train due to it being bank holiday, but what stunning views! Holidaying in the UK is always a bit of a weather gamble, and we were treated to some of the worst whilst there, but that couldnt take away from the pleasure of our stay…..it made us look forward to returning in sunnier weather. We would highly recommend a stay here…..you’ll not want to leave!

Amazing views and stars, best enjoyed from the hot tub! Breakfast included and delivered to the yurt was a real treat. Loads of space inside the yurt, big comfy double bed, wood burner made it really cozy. Sheep and lambs in surrounding fields and good footpaths right from the doorstep.

We have just returned from a wonderful visit to Jo's beautiful Yurts. As a group we hired six of the Yurts and Jo did an amazing job of providing us with a wonderful experience. The home cooked food from the extensive menu was awesome and many restaurants couldn't serve such a large group as efficiently. The yurts themselves were very comfortable, I've never had a Chesterfield sofa when glamping before and the beds were more luxorious than many hotels. We found the views and location amazing, the hots tub top notch and the addition of the barn with games and seating a great add on. In particular the kids got the opportunity to feed the pigs and do a real treasure hunt for fresh eggs. The hospitality was second to none and we wouls recommend Cherish Glamping to anyone.

THE MOST PERFECT MINIMOON We've absolutely loved our stay in the barn owl yurt. The perfect place to stay to recharged after a hectic weekend. Weather extremely wet but we haven't needed to leave the yurt or hot tub once. Hot tub was amazing in the rain with beautifull views. Really comfy bed and all essentials and more for comfy stay, So many thoughtful touches. Joe Steve and family were the most wonderful hosts, and go above and beyond to meet your every needs. Breakfast in the yurt was delicious and wood fire pizza was amazing. More than a 5 star glamping experience set in the yorkshire dales. Can't wait to come back for our anniversary next year.
