Blue Mountain Barn

Blue Mountain Barn began life as a field barn and retains the character that comes with age—original oak beams and trusses frame the interior of this single-storey conversion. Set back from Scarborough's outskirts, the building stands detached on its own grounds, commanding views across towards the sea and Scarborough Castle. The whole property is yours alone, with a lawned garden, patio and sitting area at the back, plus private parking.

Inside, everything is on one level with a ramp for accessibility. Two bedrooms sleep four: one has a super king bed with ensuite shower, the other two singles with a separate bathroom that includes a bath and overhead shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric cooking, dishwasher and microwave. A utility room houses a washing machine. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; heating is oil central. One pet is welcome in the property.

The location suits walkers and cyclists—routes begin from the door, and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the Yorkshire coast are both accessible for day trips. Scarborough's shops and a pub sit about a mile away. No smoking inside. Children can use a highchair and travel cot if needed.
