My family had a static caravan at Burnside for 15 years, and they were the most pleasurable times that we had, a get away and escape from everyday life. My dad was terminally ill at the time, and he used to stay there whilst mum went to work and would join him at weekends. The Warden at the time was excellent. (1980s). I hope one day that I will return. It is a good location to explore the East Coast.

The park is lovely and well looked after, if you are looking for a lively place to buy a caravan then this is not for you, it's a quiet site with nothing on it except a small play area for kids, the nearest bub is around a 20 minute walk, there are plenty of places to walk including the cinder track which runs right through to Whitby.

Quiet park could do with a laundrette on site and upgrading the kiddies park also you have to take your life in your own hands need speed limits on the stretch approaching caravan sites but that's down to the council would recommend

Been at Burnside for 4 years absolute fantastic. Justin the manager is second to none. We had to go for family reasons. I will miss it every day
