Broughton Hall Estate - Micklethorn
North Yorkshire

The Yorkshire Dales roll out beyond this substantial detached house, which sits on the edge of farmland with views across the region. Broughton Hall Estate occupies 3000 acres of shared grounds, though the property itself offers distinct separation with its own large garden, terrace and gas barbecue. There is an unfenced river within the estate, about 300 yards away and across the road, so worth noting if young children are with you.
The ground floor spreads across generous living and dining space, with a kitchen fitted for real cooking—electric range, dishwasher, microwave—plus two separate sitting areas and a study or library. A utility room handles laundry. Upstairs, six bedrooms sleep ten: four super king beds (convertible to twin singles), one zip-and-link double, and two singles; three bathrooms serve them. The kitchen opens to the garden via steps at the rear. Bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are included. There is private parking for six cars on site, and a bike store for those wanting to explore further. The house suits families or groups of friends; children have access to a playroom downstairs. Smoking is not permitted inside.
