Carr House is a single-storey detached farmhouse on a working farm, two miles from the coast and within easy reach of Scarborough. The entire property is on ground level with ramp access, sleeping eight across four bedrooms: a super king, a double, and two rooms with single beds. Two bathrooms serve the house, one with a walk-in shower and grab rails. Everything needed for a self-catering stay is here—heating, electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all covered, along with fuel for the open fire.
The layout spreads across generous living spaces: two sitting rooms (one with a 48-inch television and open fire, the other with a 50-inch screen), a dining room and conservatory opening onto a decked patio, and a kitchen with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and breakfast area. A utility room has washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside, enclosed gardens feature a summerhouse, apple trees, barbecue and private hot tub. The property takes one dog at no extra cost.
From here, the North Yorkshire coast stretches in both directions—Cayton Bay, known for surfing, is nearby and allows dogs year-round. Inland, the North York Moors, Pickering steam railway and York are within an hour's drive. Dalby Forest offers cycling and tree climbing; Wykeham Lakes is for fishing. The location suits families, groups and anyone wanting a base to explore the region without needing to move each night.
