Cherry Cottage dates from the 1600s and occupies a slightly raised spot in Gunnerside village, looking out over the valley. Built from stone in the traditional Dales style, it offers a single bedroom and bathroom across two floors, with space for two guests. The main living area has an open fireplace and also an electric alternative; a fully equipped kitchen allows for self-catering, and central heating runs throughout the property. Essentials including Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided.
Downstairs you have a living and dining room with television and DVD player, plus the kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave and washing machine. The bedroom upstairs is fitted with a zip-and-link super king bed (or two singles on request), and the bathroom has both a bath and shower cubicle. A small garden with seating faces the fell views, and there is private off-road parking for one car and a bike store.
The location suits walkers and cyclists particularly well—the cottage sits near some of the best routes in the Dales, and the village itself has a pub and tea room within a short walk. The Brownlow Arms and other dining options lie within a mile. Reeth, the larger village six miles away, has more shops and restaurants. No smoking indoors.
