Cinder Track Hideaway

Whitby sits on the North Yorkshire coast with the moors rising inland and footpaths threading everywhere. The Cinder Track—a former railway line that once connected Whitby to Robin Hood's Bay and beyond—runs close by, now a walking and cycling route that draws people year-round. Cinder Track Hideaway occupies the second floor of a property on the edge of town, positioned to make use of that proximity.
The apartment has two bedrooms: one with a king bed, the other with two singles, sleeping four. There is one bathroom with a shower over the bath. The living space combines a sitting room and dining area with a Juliet balcony overlooking a communal garden where rabbits and deer sometimes appear. The kitchen is separately fitted out with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and washing machine, so you can cook properly rather than relying on takeaways. Parking for one car sits on the property; a shared garden extends to the rear. Essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—come as standard. No smoking indoors.
The town centre lies within a ten-minute walk. Whether you want the Cinder Track for exercise, Whitby for history and fish and chips, or both in the same day, the location works well for families and groups of friends.

Had an amazing stay with family. The location and the apartment are fabulous for exploring Whitby, which is just a short walk away. The welcome gift was a lovely touch too. Hope to be back again. Thank you!

This is a gem of a place to stay in Whitby. Clean, warm, comfortable and very well equipped, with a lovely 'welcome' gift. A short walk into Whitby (it took us 20 mins). I would highly recommend and hope to return in the future.

A beautiful apartment in the perfect location! So close to walk into Whitby but far enough to enjoy peace and tranquillity with views overlooking the moors. The host has gone to so much effort with the details in the apartment with fitting Whitby touches. Plenty of information was provided to find our way into Whitby and general information, would highly recommend!
