A converted barn dating back two centuries, Deer Park Barn stands on elevated pastureland with commanding views across Swaledale. The building was renovated throughout in 2021 to a high standard, retaining character while adding modern comfort. A natural spring supplies the water, and the property runs on ground source underfloor heating paired with a wood burner for cooler evenings.
Inside, the ground floor opens into a living and dining space separated by a central staircase. The living room has a wood burner and patio doors onto a sitting area; the kitchen is fully fitted with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and washer dryer. Two kingsize bedrooms upstairs each have their own bathroom with a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with initial logs for the burner. You have private parking for two cars and the property is yours alone.
The barn suits walkers and cyclists—footpaths and cycle routes start from the door and lead through the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The setting is peaceful and rural, accessed via a country lane, making it a quiet base for exploring the dale. No smoking; hen and stag parties are not accepted.
