East House Farm comes fully equipped for a week away. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, along with heating and electricity. The kitchen has two electric ovens, a hob and dishwasher, so cooking for six is straightforward. A wood burner in the living room comes with its initial fuel already supplied. Three bedrooms sleep six: one with a super king bed and ensuite, two others with single beds, and a family bathroom on the first floor. Outside, you have private parking for two cars and a bike store, plus a south-facing garden with patio and furniture.
The property sits in Beckermonds, a hamlet of just five houses at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park where Oughtershaw and Greenfield becks meet to form the River Wharfe. Walking starts from the door—there are three pubs within easy reach on foot, including the George at Hubberholme, or you can tackle an 11-mile circuit walk linking them. Hawes market town is seven miles away for shops and restaurants. Red squirrels and river wildlife are regular visitors to the garden. A stretch of private trout fishing runs alongside the property from March to September, free to use. No smoking is allowed inside.
