Eira
North Yorkshire

North Yorkshire's rolling landscape provides the setting for Eira, a one-bedroom studio built to make the most of its rural surroundings. The building itself—timber-clad and minimalist—sits quietly within the countryside, with a large window framing views across the fields. Inside, the single open-plan space combines a bedroom area with a living and kitchen zone, designed around deep tones and natural materials that keep the focus on the world outside rather than the interior finishes.
The studio sleeps two in a king-size bed. The kitchenette is equipped for self-catering. A walk-in shower and separate bathroom handle the basics, with heating throughout the year. What distinguishes the place is the private outdoor space: a hot tub on the patio where you can sit under the sky, plus a barbecue and dining table for eating outside. One dog is welcome to come along. Parking is on site, and wifi is provided; electricity and bed linen are included in the stay.
This works well for couples seeking a quiet retreat or anyone wanting a countryside base without company. The Yorkshire Dales are accessible from here, though the real draw is the chance to sit still in the landscape rather than rush through it. No smoking inside.
