The cottages are located just outside Filey and allowed us to have a comfortable base as we visited many places along the coast. Very comfortable and well equipped. The setting is very peaceful in a lovely setting

We had a great weekend at Filey Holiday Cottages. We had two cottages for our family and they were both cleaned and well prepared for our visit. Thank you so much and hopefully we will visit again next year.

Had a brilliant weekend stay, staff were amazing and so friendly. Cottage was super clean and had all facilities you need and more. The cottages are in a fab location for exploring or just relaxing in the gardens. Ideal for couples and families, there is even a playground and a games room for the children to enjoy. Can't wait to return!!

So we came here last weekend (September 13th 2025 weekend). We came with my mum and dad, me and my fiance had the double room which on first glance was lovely, and my parents had an individual room by themselves. The kitchen was a nice size, sofas were comfortable, shower was lovely for anyone under 5ft 8, but my fiance was over 6ft tall and really struggled. When we first came in I noticed the curtains on the entrance door were splattered with blood and mud which was a bit grim... Our double bedroom had a rogue empty crisp packet under the bed and a random hair bobble so the room obviously hadn't been cleaned properly, as it was easily visible when you walked in. The window had a massive crack in it, even when fully closed, so lots of creepy crawlies came in but I'm aware we are in the country and it is a made up barn. We got into bed and the bedding was.... Crusty... It didn't feel like it had been washed and made me feel sick as I knew what it properly could have been.. My parents rooms were nice and quaint but the bed quilts are not suitable for adults. Only children as they were way too short and kept loosing it in the night. Their beds were soft and comfortable, while ours was solid. It was more comfortable sleeping on the rug on the floor, though the rug had so much long hair all wrapped up in it that it would get tangled inbetween your toes. Cooking was difficult as we realised half way through one of the hob rings is knackered and the tin opener was so rusted it wasn't usable. The bin wasn't cleaned before we came and there was a nasty smell coming from a clean unused bin bag as bin juices from the previous people had leaked all over the bin. Me and my fiance tried the 'games room'. We were super excited as we love pool and to our utter disappointment most of the balls were missing. Only finding out after we paid to play. There was no white or black ball and a few yellows missing, making it completely unplayable. Overall lovely area, quiet and quaint. But no upkeep of the place, though i think it would have been amazing in its hayday. The accommodation definately needs to be cleaned properly and fresh bedding is needed...
