Filey Holiday Cottages - Padgett Lodge
North Yorkshire
Photo: Google Maps
Padgett Lodge is built from character. Exposed brick and slate floors run through this two-bedroom cottage, which sits within a small group of holiday properties just outside Filey. You get the whole place to yourself, with a double bedroom and a twin, one bathroom, and a living area that combines kitchen, dining and lounge space. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave for self-catering, and there's a utility room (shared with other cottages in the group). One well-behaved dog can come with you.
The garden is partly shared with the other cottages—there's a lawned area with children's play equipment and garden furniture, plus a barbecue. You also have access to a games room with a pool table. Parking for one car is provided. The essentials are covered: bed linen, electricity, heating and wifi are included. Smoking is not permitted inside.
Filey itself is a traditional seaside town centred on five miles of sandy beach, backed by the rocky outcrop of Filey Brigg. Pubs and restaurants are within a mile. The North York Moors lie close by for walking and exploring, and the Yorkshire coast stretches north towards Whitby. This works well as a base whether you want a quiet break or somewhere to launch days out across the region.
