Filey Holiday Cottages - Swallow Cottage

Swallow Cottage sits on the edge of Filey, a Victorian seaside town where five miles of sandy beach stretch beneath Filey Brigg's rocky headland. The North York Moors lie inland, Whitby is a short drive north, and Flamingo Land and the Yorkshire Moors Railway are both nearby. The cottage is a private base for exploring any or all of them, or simply settling into the quieter rhythm of the coast.

The layout comprises a ground-floor open-plan living and dining area, a functional kitchen with electric cooking and a dishwasher, a bedroom with a kingsize bed, a second single bedroom, and a bathroom with a bath and shower. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; heating and electricity are covered in the rate. One car can park on site. A shared lawned garden has a children's play area and garden furniture, plus access to games and board games indoors. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

The town itself offers the Evron Centre for entertainment, restaurants and pubs, fishing and watersports on the beach, walking trails along the cliffs, and golf. It suits families wanting flexibility and space without the complexity of a larger group booking. No smoking inside the cottage.
