The North York Moors National Park surrounds this part of North Yorkshire, where villages are scattered across rural countryside and the coast lies within easy reach. Pickering, the nearby market town, has castle ruins to explore and the famous heritage steam railway that runs through the area—you'll watch trains pass from the garden here. The cottage sits down a quiet cul-de-sac accessed by crossing the railway line, with private parking and an enclosed rear garden.
This 200-year-old stone property has three bedrooms and one bathroom across three floors. The ground floor holds a living room with an electric woodburner, and a kitchen-dining room with a dishwasher, electric oven and hob, and plenty of fridge space. There's also a separate toilet and utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs, a double bedroom and twin bedroom share a shower room with a walk-in shower; the double has a window seat overlooking the railway. The top floor master bedroom is a further double. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, along with a travel cot, highchair and stairgate if needed. One dog is welcome at no extra cost.
The cottage sleeps six and is yours alone. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 3pm and checkout before 10am.
