Foston Grange Cottage

Rolling farmland surrounds Foston Grange Cottage, a whitewashed property on the owner's arable and livestock farm in the Vale of York. The setting sits within reach of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with open views across toward the Howardian Hills and the Wolds. Footpaths start from the door for those wanting to walk the countryside; York is 12 miles away for visitors after city attractions, and Castle Howard lies 3½ miles drive off. The North Yorkshire coast and moors are accessible for day trips.

The cottage sleeps five across three bedrooms: a double and two single rooms upstairs, with a further single downstairs. Polished wood floors run through the living and dining rooms on the ground floor, where you'll find a kitchen fitted with electric cooking, a dishwasher and all essentials for self-catering. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi and bed linen are provided. One bathroom has a bath with shower over, and there's a separate toilet. The enclosed garden has a sitting-out area with furniture and a barbecue, and there is private parking for two cars. No smoking is permitted indoors. The garden does have a drop, so children need supervising at all times.
