Richmond's marketplace and cobbled streets are on your doorstep, and there is genuinely plenty to do without leaving town. The Georgian Theatre Royal stands directly across from Friars Corner. The restored railway station, a short walk away, now houses a cinema, micro-brewery, artisan bakery and delicatessen. Richmond's indoor swimming pool is next to it. The market square itself invites lingering—cafés, restaurants and independent shops line the surrounding streets. For those wanting to venture further, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is within reach, and a riverside walk along the Swale begins nearby.

The cottage itself is ground floor throughout, with an open-plan living area that includes a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a dining space and a sitting room with a smart TV. Two bedrooms—one with a super kingsize bed, one with two single beds—each have their own ensuite bathroom. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi and bed linen are all included. There is parking on site for one car, and the whole place is yours alone. One well-behaved pet can stay at no extra cost. The property does not permit smoking.
