Dale View is a stone mid-terrace cottage positioned above Gayle Beck, where the water tumbles past in a series of falls. The building has been refurbished throughout and furnished with care, offering solid comfort rather than fuss. An elevated terrace looks directly onto the waterfall, furnished and enclosed, with parking for two cars on site.
The ground floor contains a living and dining space with woodburner and Smart TV, plus a compact kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and washer-dryer all feature. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, one with a single; a bathroom with bath and shower over sits alongside a separate toilet. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included, along with initial fuel for the woodburner and a welcome pack. No smoking throughout.
Hawes town centre is a ten-minute walk away, with shops, cafés and restaurants; Wensleydale Creamery stands closer still. The location suits walkers especially—the Pennine Way is accessible directly from the property, and routes of varying difficulty radiate from the door. Lake Semerwater, Aysgarth Falls, The Forbidden Corner and Bolton Castle all lie within reasonable reach. One well-behaved pet is welcome.

Have just recently returned from a stay in the lovely Dalesview Cottage. It is a lovely property which is very comfortable, cosy, exceptionally well equipped and nicely furnished. It has a lovely garden which is south facing and has beautiful views both up and down Wensleydale. There are walks available from the cottage around and into the hills and also down into nearby Hawes. The hamlet where Dalesview is located, Sedbusk, is also a charming and pretty place. There’s also no passing traffic as there is no through road, We would definitely return to and recommend Dalesview Cottage to anybody thinking of going there.👍

What a special place! We had a wonderful two weeks at Dales View and are already longing to return. The cottage is spacious, very clean, well-equipped, well-maintained, and charming, with stunning views from the front garden in any weather. The sitting room, complete with wood-burning stove, is perfect for curling up with a book, and the cottage has not one, not two, but SIX special reading nooks, complete with blankets. We can't wait to return!
