Robin Hood's Bay clusters around a steep High Street that runs down to the beach, and Glenhowen sits at the heart of this working village. The cottage itself is 18th-century, built low and tight against the stone around it—the kind of place that feels embedded in its own history. Inside, wooden panelling, exposed beams and stone walls are genuine rather than retrofitted. A wood-burner warms the open-plan living and dining space on the ground floor, where a proper kitchen handles cooking without fuss.
Three bedrooms spread across two upper floors: two doubles on the first floor, and a smaller double tucked under the beams at the top. The first-floor bathroom has a bath with shower. The cottage sleeps five, though the layout means it suits parties of up to four adults and a child better than larger groups. Electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. One dog stays free. No smoking inside.
The beach lies within a mile; locals walk down through the village to reach it. The Cove, a venue and wedding chapel, is nearby. This is a genuine seaside village with working fishing heritage rather than a holiday resort, which shapes what you'll find in terms of shops and restaurants—characterful but not abundant.
