Friendly welcome. Basic, but clean facilities. Level pitches. Great location and easy walk to Robin Hoods Bay. Only thing stopping it from being perfect was lack of hot water for washing up and tepid shower.

As you can see from the many 1-star reviews already posted, my experience unfortunately echoes a lot of the same sentiments. I came across this campsite via an Instagram post from a couple travelling in their van with their dog—a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. After seeing that, I rang to book a spot and was greeted by what can only be described as Miss Trunchbull on the other end of the phone: cold, confrontational, accusatory, and completely inhospitable. The first couple of minutes felt like pulling teeth, as I carefully navigated the metaphorical eggshells she had already laid out. I tried to respond politely despite her tone, avoiding saying anything that might set her off. She eventually asked whether my partner and I would be bringing a dog. We said yes—a Staffordshire Bull Terrier—just like the one we had seen in the Instagram post. At that point, the tirade of disgust, arrogance, and ignorance became unbearable. Despite there being no rules on Pitchup.com banning Staffies, our very own Trunchbull clearly has her own policies. The back-and-forth was pointless—we got nowhere. That said, she did inadvertently do us a favour by pushing us to book elsewhere. We ended up at Middlewood Farm Holiday Park, just a short drive up the road. It’s cheaper, has far better amenities, and the staff are genuinely welcoming. The woman we spoke to there was incredibly helpful and even laughed, saying she knew exactly what we meant when we described our experience—apparently we’re far from the first. To anyone considering booking here: just don’t. Save yourself the hassle and stay elsewhere—or better yet, head straight to Middlewood Farm. As for the woman on the phone, I’d say she could do with a holiday herself—but I suspect even she wouldn’t meet her own standards.

Stayed in van for the night, lovely scenery basically amenities. Decent built toilets X2. 1 shower but didn't use think you pay for this. Cold water available. Farm animals around. Lovely scenic views by the sea. Great place for 1/2 night stay , bring your own amenities ie travel kettle etc. lovely stay.

Very helpful owner. It's basic but what there is, is done nicely. Hit shower, 2 loos, a washing up station and a separate hand washing / toothbrushing station. All in all, I would happily stay again.
