Breakfast was great. Good selection and a refined experience. Sue was very helpful and attentive start to finish. View from the deck overlooking the sea and cove is lovely with a pint from the bar. Made our day. We started out at breakfast here, walked around and ended here with a cocktail and beer. Carpark is close to the hotel. Highly recommended even for a day out at Robin Hood Bay.

Despite visiting Robin Hood's Bay so often over the years, this was the first time that we stayed at the Victoria Hotel. Easy to get to & perched on top just next to where the road into the village starts. Views are fabulous. The atmosphere inside, equally so. Much more spacious than the outside would suggest, there are two spaces to sit & chat or have a drink. The restaurant has a decent menu. Food was good. Good wine list. Nice bar. Rooms are well equipped, en suite and the sea - view ones have really nice views over the bay. Decent size. Car parking behind but if this is full, the hotel provides a QR code to display and park in the public car pack just opposite. Overall, A bustling hotel, nice atmosphere, clean, friendly vibes and very enjoyable to stay in. Our compliments.

Stayed here for the Bank Holiday weekend. We normally rent a cottage but thought we'd give this hotel a go as the owner also owns our local Hotel in Lincoln. The room was great with Elemis products. Our own parking space and outdoor seating. The food was great and the staff fabulous. Special shout out to Jayne conservatory dining and Michelle on reception. You both made this stay feel so welcoming. Would highly recommend the staff, location and food. We'll be back .👍

I’d been meaning to try the Victoria Hotel’s lunchtime set menu for some time, so I took the opportunity today. For the starter, I had the prawn cocktail with Marie Rose sauce, crisp lettuce, brown bread, lemon and seaweed-salted butter, followed by North Sea cod in champagne batter with hand-cut chips, mushy peas, tartare sauce and lemon. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. The lettuce in the prawn cocktail wasn’t the freshest, with some of the edges starting to turn brown, and the small prawns used were quite tasteless. The North Sea cod was also a poor cut. I expected a smaller but chunky piece of cod, rather than a thin, flat piece of fish that resembled a fillet of sole. The champagne batter was greasy and tasted as though it had been cooked in old chip oil. On a positive note, they have a good selection of beers, the hotel is nicely decorated with a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly. Sadly, though, I was extremely disappointed with the food.
