About Lee-Side B&B
Step into a room at Lee-Side B&B and you're greeted by traditional furnishings and a proper sense of place, with some rooms looking straight out to sea. The house itself dates back to the 1800s, a redbrick Victorian building that has kept its period character while offering the comforts guests actually need: drinks in the room, free WiFi, and thoughtful touches throughout. It's an adults-only stay, which keeps things quiet and settled.
Breakfast is included and there's a garden with outdoor seating where you can take in the views before heading out for the day. Staff are on hand around the clock at reception, and there's somewhere to store luggage if you arrive early or leave late. It's a cosy, unfussy sort of place rather than a grand hotel, and that's very much the appeal.
Robin Hoods Bay itself is made for walking and cycling, with the coast and countryside of North Yorkshire on the doorstep. Golf and fishing are both nearby for those who want to be more active, and there are pubs, restaurants and other eateries close by for the evenings. It's a straightforward, well-placed base for exploring this stretch of coast.

Luckily managed to book the twin room 8th-9th May over the bank holiday weekend. The proximity to the Cleveland Way walk is excellent, only a couple of minutes walk away. The building is located on a quiet street off the main road through Robin Hoods Bay. Warm welcome from Claire the owner on arrival who gave a brief tour of the facilities. Guest lounge with complimentary port and sherry, spacious room for breakfast. The building and my room was spotlessly clean. 2 single beds with an en suite bathroom with shower. Breakfast was superb. Really well cooked and a good variety of options available. I would stay here again without hesitation and recommend it, particularly to fellow walkers/hikers. Thank you Claire!

A really lovely stay after completing the Coast to Coast walk. We stayed 2 nights and appreciated all the comforts and hospitality. A great location with a beautiful scenic walk down to the harbour village with great food and pubs just round the corner. Highly recommended.

My friend and I stayed 4 nights at Lee-side. Claire and hubby are the perfect hosts. Our luggage was taken to our room without asking. Tea/ coffee and cake on arrival and Claire moved her car to allow us to park outside. Fresh milk in a fridge available to help yourself, even providing small flasks to keep it cool in your room. Breakfast was excellent, a good choice and perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back next year, thank you both 👏👏

A Perfect Stay – Especially for Coast to Coasters! I can’t recommend this B&B highly enough. The entire place was spotlessly clean — not a speck out of place. Claire, the host, was absolutely fantastic. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well looked after. If you're walking the Coast to Coast trail, be sure to ask for Room 3 — it has a brilliant bathtub that’s perfect for soaking away the aches of the trail. After a long day on foot, it was pure heaven. Warm, comfortable, and exceptionally well-run. It's an ideal treat on the journey!
