North Yorkshire

You arrive into a compact bungalow furnished with character—stone walls and beams run through the living and dining space, which has a TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fitted for cooking, with an electric cooker and breakfast bar; all the essentials for heating, electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi are covered. The single bedroom has two 3ft beds that zip together, and there's a wet room with shower and toilet. An enclosed patio area looks out across the Three Peaks landscape, with garden furniture and parking on site.
The bungalow sits on six acres of private land at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, surrounded by limestone country that draws walkers and cyclists year-round. Trails start from the doorstep; quiet lanes suit scenic drives. The market towns of Settle, Kirkby Lonsdale and Bentham are nearby, as are Ingleton and Clapham with their show caves. Lancaster is under half an hour's drive away. A laundry room with washing machines and dryers is shared with other properties on-site. One small dog is welcome. No smoking.

What guests say
Hard to think the walk up from Ireby is wholly in Lancashire jutting Eastwards between Yorkshire and Cumbria. Perfect weather conditions for the walk although the Fell is already pretty wet under foot. Whernside can be seen behind the Trig point.
