Whernside View

Whernside View stands on six acres of private land at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, where the Three Peaks walk begins practically from your door. Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough are all accessible on foot, and quieter lanes suit cyclists and drivers wanting to explore the surrounding countryside. Ingleton and Clapham, both known for their cave systems, lie nearby; Settle and Kirkby Lonsdale are within reach for market-day browsing. The Lake District, Forest of Bowland and the Morecambe Bay coast are all driveable day trips from here.

The cottage has three bedrooms—one double on the ground floor, two with single beds on the first floor—and two bathrooms serving six guests comfortably. A kitchen with electric cooker and full-sized appliances lets you prepare proper meals; the living and dining space has character beams and stonework. Electric heating keeps the place warm after days outside. Bed linen, Wi-Fi and electricity are included. There is a patio with garden furniture overlooking the views, and private parking on site. One small dog is welcome. The property is non-smoking.

If you want something different between walks, pottery courses run from a workshop close by, available as half-day, full-day or week-long sessions. Guests with children will find a cot and highchair available, and a laundry room with shared washing and drying facilities is on the wider site.
