This stone cottage sits at the edge of the North York Moors National Park, where the landscape rolls through moorland, valleys and woodland. Heatherlea is a ground-floor property, meaning no stairs to navigate, with high ceilings and large bay windows that fill the rooms with light. Two bedrooms—one with a king bed and ensuite toilet, one with a double—share a bathroom with shower over the bath. The living room has a gas fire and television; the dining room and kitchen are positioned toward the rear, looking onto the garden.
The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave. You have your own parking space, wi-fi, bed linen and towels included, and heating covered throughout. The rear garden has a sitting-out area, though this is shared with the owner. Smoking is not permitted inside. The village of Sleights, where the cottage is located, has a shop, post office, café and bakery. A short drive reaches Briggswath and Ruswarp, with riverside walks and a miniature railway, or Whitby itself—4 miles away—with its Georgian streets, fishing heritage and restaurants. The moors themselves are on your doorstep for walking.
