Lightfoot House

Leyburn sits on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where the landscape opens into rolling valleys and a network of walking routes. Lightfoot House is a two-bedroom cottage in this setting, sleeping four across a super king and two singles, with one bathroom. The property is yours alone for the stay, and one dog can come too at no extra cost.

Downstairs, the living and dining room has a wood burner in an inglenook, a 42-inch smart TV with Netflix, and doors through to a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook proper meals. Upstairs are the two bedrooms. Everything essential is covered: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and superfast broadband. The initial fuel for the wood burner is included. A bike store and on-road parking are available, and a highchair and stairgate can be arranged if needed.

The village is built for exploring on foot or by bike—Lower Wensleydale stretches out from your door. The circular walk from Redmire to Aysgarth passes both sets of falls. Bolton Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned, is nearby; so are the market towns of Hawes and Leyburn with their shops, restaurants and craft workshops. No smoking inside the cottage.
