Little Jack’s Cottage

Walk through the front door of Little Jack's Cottage into a living room flooded with light from bay windows, where a wood-burner sits waiting for cooler evenings. The ground floor spreads across a dining room with its own multi-fuel stove, then a kitchen fitted for proper cooking: gas oven, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer all there. Two bedrooms upstairs—one with a king bed, one with a double—share a bathroom with shower over the bath. The whole place is yours alone, sleeping four comfortably.

Stone steps lead up through the front garden to a heated summerhouse where you can sit with a view of the garden. At the back, an enclosed patio opens onto space for a barbecue and table. Parking is on road. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are included, along with the first load of wood for the burner. One dog stays free if you're bringing a pet.

Scalby sits just outside Scarborough on the North Yorkshire coast, close enough to reach the seafront easily, with walking trails nearby and dog-friendly pubs dotted about. No smoking inside the property.
