Run by the Camping and Caravanning Club on Burniston Road, this 290-pitch site sits around two miles north of Scarborough town centre, close to Scalby village and within easy reach of North Bay beaches and Forge Valley. Pitches range from standard grass to hardstanding with electric and larger jumbo plots, so it suits everything from small tents to big motorhomes. Facilities are comprehensive—flush loos, family shower rooms, motorhome service point, laundry, dishwashing areas, on-site shop and children's play area—plus a dedicated dog walk and club Wi-Fi.
A bus stop directly outside gives straightforward access into Scarborough without needing the car, handy for the castle and seafront. Open late March to late October, the site welcomes non-members as well as club members (at a slightly higher rate). It's a well-run, no-frills base that does the basics properly, though some visitors note it can feel a touch institutional compared to smaller, more characterful sites.

A great location to stay if you're staying at the site. Friendly staff and good facilities Scarborough itself is quite lovely, not too commercialised and plenty to do. The beach and promenade were great to cycle.

Really nice caravan and camping site. Well located for everything in the area. Nice friendly staff who do a great job keeping the place clean and well run. Bus stops at the entrance. Close to the Cinder track too for walking/cycling all the way to Whitby😅

Large camping and caravan club site, usual club facilities, professional staff etc. £40 members price •Back gate to Scalby manor next door, toby style carvery most days £11.50 sunday £13.50. •Bus stop to town outside entrance. •2 mile coastal walk to or from town.

Really friendly, very easy to check in and laid back but very professionally looked after. The best thing was seeing the bunnies on the site, lots of trees and shrubs too so felt very secluded. So close to Scarborough but you’d never know it! Stated here several times and would recommend.
