Low Mill Cottage
North Yorkshire
Low Mill Cottage is an 18th-century mill conversion, a stone building full of original character with exposed beams and stonework. It sits on the bank of the River Wharfe, with Linton Church visible upstream and direct access to the Dales Way long-distance footpath. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms make it suitable for two families or a group of eight; there are two doubles, two twin rooms, and fireplaces in the living room and dining room for cooler evenings.
The kitchen has electric cooking and a washer-dryer. Bed linen, Wi-Fi and heating are provided. An enclosed garden with lawn and furniture faces the river, and there is parking for three cars on site. One well-behaved pet stays free. The cottage has stairs including some that are steep or narrow, and three steps lead to the entrance.
Burnsall village is reachable on foot along the riverside. Grassington, with its cobbled square, shops and pubs, lies nearby and hosts a summer festival and Dickensian weekends in December. Bolton Priory and Barden Tower are within reach for exploring. Kingfishers, dippers and curlew are frequently spotted from the garden and nearby paths.
