Pear Tree Barn

Pear Tree Barn works well for couples after a quiet break, friends sharing a getaway, or families wanting space to spread out. The conversion sits in Borrowby, a village of sandstone buildings in North Yorkshire, with countryside access from the doorstep and The Wheatsheaf Inn within walking distance. You get the whole place to yourself, with parking for three cars on site.

Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, are spread across ground and first floors. Downstairs has a flexible bed that converts from kingsize to two singles, a roll-top bath and separate shower. Upstairs is a kingsize bed with shower. The ground floor also contains a living room with Smart TV and bioethanol burner, and a kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher and coffee machine. Electricity, heating, wifi, bed linen and towels are included; one dog stays free of charge. The barn is non-smoking throughout.

Walking and cycling routes begin at the gate, leading into open fields and quiet lanes. The village itself is compact and built from local stone, surrounded by rolling hills. If you're bringing children, a travel cot and highchair are available on request.
