Hurworth - Knayton Moor Cottages

Hurworth is a fully equipped two-bedroom cottage at Knayton Moor Cottages, near Thirsk in North Yorkshire. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and zip-and-link super kingsize beds (convertible to twin singles on request). The ground floor is arranged as one open-plan space: a living area with Freeview TV and DVD player flows into a dining area and a kitchen fitted with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. There is private parking for two cars on site.

The cottage sits at the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, with walking and cycling accessible from the door. Thirsk itself is six miles away, home to a 15th-century church, a racecourse and the Herriot Centre; the twice-weekly market in the medieval cobbled square is surrounded by shops, traditional inns and tea rooms. The Yorkshire Dales lie to the west, with Harrogate, Ripon and Fountains Abbey reachable without much drive. To the east, Helmsley and Pickering lead towards the North Yorkshire Moors steam train, while Castle Howard and York are within an hour. Scarborough, Whitby and the coastal villages are easily reached. A pub is two miles away, and shops six miles. The property does not permit smoking.
