Newport Bridge Lodge suits families, groups of friends or couples wanting space to spread out. The entire ground floor means no stairs: a large open-plan living area with woodburner, kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and three bedrooms arranged so the main one has its own en-suite with a shower seat and grab rails. A second bathroom serves the other two rooms. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; the woodburner uses initial logs at no extra cost.

The lodge sits within landscaped grounds on the edge of a private lake, with its own hot tub for seven people and parking for two cars. A shared sauna on the retreat overlooks Roseberry Topping. From here, the Cleveland Hills countryside is immediate—Great Ayton village lies about a mile away on foot through fields, offering shops, pubs and local food spots. Further afield, the North York Moors National Park and sites connected to Captain Cook's history are within reach. The setting suits those who want a quiet base rather than constant activity, though there is plenty to discover nearby. No smoking; families with very young children can arrange a travel cot and highchair.

We had a wonderful stay at Roseberry View Lodge Retreat with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The holiday park was exceptionally clean, peaceful, and well maintained. The amenities were excellent, especially the jacuzzi and sauna bath, which made the stay even more relaxing. A perfect location for a relaxing getaway with family or friends. Highly recommended.

Lodge is quite spacious A few things could do with some TLC Lights bulbs not working in various rooms. Had issues with locking main door Shower thermostat tap was loose. Could do with plastic glasses for use near hot tub. Dishwasher door was loose causing it to fall when opened. Barbecue has seen better days. Sauna was an added extra Hopefully they mend the approach road I have never seen that many pot holes on one road. Overall it was a relaxing break I will probably re-book at a later date.

Stayed here for 3 nights recently, overall it was a lovely mini break, the location was great, kids loved the park, and I thought the Dog Park was a brilliant idea. The reason I have rated it a 3/5 was because the BBQ was absolutely filthy, some of the glasses were dirty, there were stains on the toilet and the BBQ equipment was moldy. I tried to ring reception to see if anyone could help with the BBQ situation but no answer so I took matters in my own hands and went to the empty lodge next door to see what condition their BBQ was in, the grills on that one was less distusting but an improvement from ours, so I swapped the grills over (same BBQ models) and gave the grills a good scrub. The hot tub was nice but there were some broken jets, only one side of the hot tub seemed to work.
