Sandhams

Sandhams is a first-floor apartment carved out of a stone barn in Littondale, deep in the Yorkshire Dales. Couples seeking a quiet base will find it suits them well—the location is remote enough to feel secluded, yet close enough to reach Kettlewell, Grassington and Malham for dinner out. Walkers can step straight into countryside ranging from gentle riverside paths to serious hill challenges; the Three Peaks lie within reach.

The apartment is compact: a double bedroom, walk-in shower room, and an open-plan living space with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. A TV and DVD player are provided for quieter evenings. Bed linen and towels come with your stay, along with wifi and heating. Off-road parking is on site, and if you're arriving in an electric vehicle, there's a pay-as-you-go charging point.

Guests have access to shared facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool and sauna. The grounds contain a small children's play area, but the property itself is intimate—two people, one bedroom, just you. Note that the land has a river running through it and some steep drops.
