Built into one of Seamer's oldest streets, Squirrel Cottage is a characterful stone property that retains the charm of a traditional village dwelling. The cottage sits in a quiet corner, tucked away from the main road, and comes with parking for one car just yards from the door. Inside, the layout is straightforward: ground-floor living and kitchen with French doors opening onto an enclosed garden, and two bedrooms plus a bathroom on the first floor. The larger bedroom has a double bed; the second room holds a smaller double. Both catch good light.
The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking holidays, with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and microwave. The living room centres on a smart TV and electric woodburner. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. One dog is welcome to stay free of charge, and the enclosed lawned garden with patio furniture is a real asset if you're travelling with a pet or young children. A highchair and stairgate are available on request. Note that there are steep stairs inside the property and one step in the garden.
Seamer itself has three pubs serving food, a chip shop regarded as one of the best on the coast, and basic shops. Cayton Bay is the nearest beach; Scarborough and Filey are minutes away. The North Yorkshire Moors and Dalby Forest, with its mountain-bike trails, are within easy reach. No smoking inside.
