Through the door of Stable Cottage you step straight into an open-plan living space—no hallways or corridors, just immediate comfort on one level. The living area has a Smart TV and DVD player; the kitchen runs to an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and washer-dryer, making it straightforward to cook and manage laundry across a week. Two bedrooms hold a double bed in one and two singles in the other, with a shower room between them. Everything on the ground floor means no stairs for children or less mobile guests, and one dog stays free throughout your stay.
The cottage sits near Thirsk in North Yorkshire, a market town known for its literary heritage and 15th-century church. A pub is within walking distance, and shops lie a mile away. From here, the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors open up to either side—Fountains Abbey, Newby Hall and Castle Howard are all within reach, while York's medieval streets and museums draw many visitors. Cycle storage in the garage suits anyone planning to explore locally. The shared lawned garden and patio provide outdoor space; private parking accommodates two cars. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are all included. No smoking throughout.
