Stable Cottage

Stable Cottage comes fully equipped for a proper stay. The kitchen has an electric oven, range, dishwasher and all the basics; heating and hot water are sorted; bed linen and towels are provided; Wi-Fi keeps you connected. Wood for the burner is included, and there's a washing machine and tumble dryer too. The garden is enclosed and lawned, with a terrace, sitting area and gas BBQ for outdoor meals.

The layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs holds the living and dining room—stone-built with exposed beams and a woodburner—plus a kitchen with breakfast area, utility room and separate toilet. Upstairs are three bedrooms (one with a 5ft king bed, one with a 4ft 6in double, one with two 3ft singles) and a bathroom with bath and shower. A galleried reading area with French doors opens onto the garden and offers a quiet spot away from the main rooms.

The cottage sits on a quiet lane just behind Askrigg's main street, within a short walk of a village store, coffee shop and three pubs. The River Ure and local waterfall walks are nearby, and the Yorkshire Dales provide walking country in all directions. One dog stays free. The property is non-smoking.
