Starfall
North Yorkshire
Starfall suits couples seeking a quiet base in the Yorkshire Dales, particularly those drawn to the area's natural landmarks. The apartment occupies the first floor of a restored mill building beside the River Ure, positioned to catch views of the Upper Falls from its windows. A neighbouring craft shop and gallery, run by the same owners, adds an arts dimension to the location. The property is accessed by stone steps and internal stairs, so it is not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties.
Inside, everything is on one level: an open-plan living space combining kitchen, dining and sitting areas; a bedroom with a super kingsize bed (convertible to twin beds on request); and a shower room with walk-in shower. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob for self-catering. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi and bed linen are all included. One car can park on site, and one pet stays free.
Aysgarth Falls itself is on the doorstep. The area draws stargazers—the name reflects the dark skies and viewing opportunities nearby, and the Freeholders' Wood Local Nature Reserve hosts astronomy events as part of the Yorkshire Dales Dark Skies Festival. A pub sits within a mile. No smoking inside.
