Stone House is a mid-terrace cottage in Hawes, where the Pennines meet the Yorkshire Dales. Downstairs, a lounge and open-plan kitchen-diner provide the main living space; upstairs are three bedrooms—a king, a double and a single—sharing a family bathroom with shower over bath. The whole property is yours alone, and one well-behaved pet is welcome to stay.
Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The cottage suits families or groups after a week or more in the Dales, with good access to walks, villages and the Sheep Dog Demonstrations nearby. Hawes itself is a working market town rather than a seaside resort, though the North Yorkshire coast is within reach for a day trip. No smoking indoors.

Did a circular walk from Hawes and called in the stone house and glad we did had lunch plus beer very nice. Great location this small hotel has a lot of age and character.

Fantastic food and very friendly waiting staff. The menu changes daily but they were happy for us to ring and find out what the choices were and make sure that there was something to suit all the party. We had an evening meal here but didn't stay. It's a lovely looking hotel, so we might stay in the future.

A wonderful find. We had a lovely birthday dinner and were very entertained by the lambs playing in the fields outside Food is fantastic and great value for three courses and coffee in the beautiful lounge afterwards. Excellent service and friendly staff.

A perfect getaway in a beautiful area of the Dales! The atmosphere at Stone House was lovely and warm. The room was exactly as pictured and described, and the food was incredible. The highlight however, was how wonderful the staff were - everyone from the reception, to housekeeping, to the waitstaff at the restaurant were all so welcoming, curteous, and generous. We had a great stay for three nights, and would definitely go back!
