Swallow Cottage sits on a working farm in open countryside between Ripon and Harrogate. The single detached building has a double bedroom with en-suite shower, a flexible single bed, and a ground-floor living space combining kitchen and sitting room around a wood burner. Essentials including Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are provided, and one dog stays free.
The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking rather than holiday basics. You get two parking spaces and a shared garden with seating area. Walking starts from your door; the surrounding fields regularly host horses, sheep and deer. Ripon Cathedral and its historic centre are nearby, as is Harrogate with its shops, Turkish Baths and Valley Gardens. The property does not permit smoking.

Comfortable and peaceful cottage only 5 mins from historic Ripon, with walks, shops and bars! 5 ⭐️ host I could have not wished for a better place to stay for an extended period. Swallow Cottage is exceptionally comfortable and absolutely everything I needed to live there. Gail is a kind and attentive host when I reached out. The kitchen is the best equipped I’ve experienced, the sofas comfortable and a lovely log burner is so relaxing. Central heating and the shower is awesome. Easy parking in the courtyard. Swallow cottage was a wonderful little sanctuary at the time I needed it in my life, even when I had my full on Bridget Jones moment 🫣😂 Thank you to both Gail as a wonderful host and I was so grateful to have had the peace and space Swallow Cottage provided. It’s a cracking place to stay! Gail also hosts Rockery House with all its luxury…..

Thank you for such an amazing stay. The cottage was so well equipped and decorated to perfection. Our lovely host had thought of everything and even left us some delicious welcome treats. The roaring fire after a long walk was so relaxing. My dog loved the purpose built dog paddock and it was the perfect location for exploring Ripon and the surrounding countryside. We can’t wait to return.

Beautiful mixture of traditional and modern decor in a quiet and peaceful farm location. The hosts excellent and lovely people . Will go back again and again .
