You arrive at The Bothy to find a detached cottage on its own private road. The ground floor opens into a living room with a wood-burning stove, then flows through to a combined kitchen and dining space equipped for proper cooking—oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer all there. A bathroom with bath and shower, and a separate drying room, complete the lower level. Upstairs is a single bedroom with two single beds that zip together. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi—are included, along with initial logs for the stove.
A small patio has garden furniture and a barbecue. Parking is on site, and there's a bike store. The countryside begins at your gate; walks lead straight from the property into open land. Ripon is a short drive away, Harrogate half an hour, and York under an hour. Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and other attractions lie within reach. The nearest shop, pub and restaurant are about a mile and a half off. This is a space for two adults only, and smoking is not permitted.

Absolutely stunning barn conversion. Had a 3 night stay with husband and didn't want to come home. Amanda and Charles are wonderful hosts. Beds where ridiculously comfortable, the cottage was spotless. Local butchers in kirkby malzeard is a must, the best scotch eggs, and wonderful choice. We bought lovely steaks that blew supermarkets out of the water. Thank you so much.

Great place to stay , with lots of walks straight from the Lodge! Also within a few miles from laverton you can explore and not be disappointed. Not far from Masham. The place is dog friendly which is a great thing if you have a dog 🐕 lovely lady running the place and is Very friendly and accommodating to your needs.

A lovely cozy cottage. Surrounded by Beautiful countryside. Everything you need. Comfortable beds. Had a couple of good nights un disturbed sleep. Only sound was an owl in the distance, So so peaceful. The hosts are very friendly and are here on the farm if you should need anything. Eggs milk and bread in the fridge on arrival. We had a Lovely weekend thank you 😊
