The Old School

Kettlewell village sits among the Yorkshire Dales with a shop, two pubs, cafes and an ice cream parlour within walking distance. The Old School occupies an elevated position here, originally built as a schoolhouse and now a spacious six-bedroom home with long views across the surrounding countryside. One dog stays free, and there's a dog gate and outdoor shower in the sloping garden.

Inside, the layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs holds a twin bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with shower over the bath, an open-plan kitchen and dining room, and a sitting room with a wood-burning stove and smart TV. Upstairs are two further bedrooms—one with a king-size bed and one with a double—plus a shower room. A sun room runs along the front of the house facing the garden and the Dales beyond. Parking for three cars is on site, and wi-fi reaches throughout. Bed linen, towels and the initial fuel for the wood burner are included; heating and electricity are covered in the rental.

The King's Head pub is within a mile. The space works equally well for a family gathering or friends sharing the whole property to themselves, though smoking is not permitted inside.
