Waites House Farm Cottages - Little Esklets
North Yorkshire
Photo: Google Maps
Little Esklets is a single-storey cottage converted from an 18th-century barn, built from warm sandstone and set on a working sheep farm deep in Westerdale. You arrive at a sun-facing front garden with seating, then step inside to find the whole property arranged on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space with a kitchen at one end, a bedroom with a double bed, and a shower room. The open-plan layout means the kitchen, dining table for two, and sitting area all flow together, with views across the moorland from the windows.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, slow cooker and coffee machine. The shower room has a walk-in shower. Bed linen, towels, electricity, Wi-Fi and underfloor heating are included in your stay. There is private parking for one car on site. The cottage draws water from a natural spring supply. No smoking inside.
Westerdale lies within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, surrounded by heather moorland and working farmland. The location suits anyone wanting a quiet rural base with easy access to the wider landscape on foot, or simply a retreat from busier places.
