Westerdale sits deep in the North York Moors, far enough from main roads to feel genuinely remote, yet close enough to the Heritage Coast for a day trip. The village itself is quiet—footpaths and bridleways start at the cottage door, and the railway line to Whitby runs two miles away. Rose Cottage is a renovated two-bedroom property sleeping four, with two bathrooms, that works equally well for couples and families.
Downstairs you get a living room with woodburner, a kitchen with a full range of appliances including dishwasher, and a separate dining space. The real draw is the garden room—a light, airy spot for reading or watching the moors shift through the seasons. Upstairs, one bedroom has a double bed with an ensuite bath; the other has two single beds and a shower room. All essentials are covered: heating (underfloor on the ground floor, plus logs for the burner), electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi. There's parking for one car and an enclosed garden with furniture. No smoking throughout.
