West End Farm Cottages - Gunluck Cottage
North Yorkshire
Photo: Google Maps
Gunluck Cottage comes with everything needed for a self-catering break: a kitchen fitted with electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer; heating and hot water; bed linen and towels; and wi-fi throughout. The ground floor holds a living and dining room with wood burner and freeview TV, a second sitting room, and the kitchen. Upstairs are three bedrooms—a double and two singles—and a bathroom with bath and shower. The cottage accommodates five people and sits on a working farm in Brompton by Sawdon, a village with a shop and wine bar within walking distance. Parking for two cars is on site, and there's a small enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and a barbecue.
The location puts you near some of North Yorkshire's main attractions. Dalby Forest, with its cycle tracks and bridle paths, is easily reached. Pickering's steam railway runs through the Esk Valley; Whitby is a short drive; and Scarborough slightly further. Thornton le Dale and other market towns are nearby. The village has a pub serving local cask ales and food. This is a non-smoking property; children are welcome. The cottage dates from the 1800s and forms part of a small farm complex on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.
