The whole property is yours: a ground-floor layout where the living space, kitchen and bedroom flow together, with French doors opening onto an enclosed garden. A king-size bed, bathroom with shower and bath, and a wood-burning stove in the living area make up the essentials. The kitchen has what you need to cook—electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave—and wifi, heating and bed linen are all included.

The garden has patio furniture and a barbecue; there is parking for one car on site and a bike store. A shop sits two miles away, while a pub and restaurant are three miles off. York's museums, medieval streets and the minster are within easy reach, and the North York Moors, Coast and Dales are accessible for day trips. The Park and Ride is three miles away if you want to leave the car behind. No smoking is permitted in the property.
