What a lush setting… Yorkshire Heart Vineyard sits among wine vines in the Yorkshire countryside, spreading over 35 handsome acres between Harrogate and York. The site's 17.5 acres of leafy vineyards create a spectacular backdrop for camping, with meadows offering loads of space for kids to run around safely and stellar stargazing after dark.
The remote location is a walkers' paradise, yet top North Yorkshire attractions—national parks, historic houses, steam railways—are within easy driving distance. For supplies, several farm shops dot the area, including one at the end of the lane and another in Whixley. The owners recommend the pub 20 minutes' walk away for cask ales and fresh food, though some visitors note facilities can feel a little basic for the price.
The modern toilet and shower block serves campers well, and barbecues are welcome. Dogs are allowed year-round if kept on leads. Note that guests must take all rubbish home with them.

What visitors say
Stayed for 2 nights in campervan and tent and we were so impressed with the site - clean, peaceful and so green. The camping amenities are great and felt very special to be able to camp next to the vines (in the first field). Great wines available by the glass, bottle and even flight, lovely breakfast options in the cafe and we had a great night with live music too. Staff were so friendly and we will definitely be coming back.

We had a tasty "light lunch" as part of our voucher, plus a fascinating tour by family member Tim - enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and genuine. Then the tasting. We were ready to be disappointed but not at all. Our favourite, the Latimer white, was dry, yet fruity and packed with flavours. Fabulous, friendly and fun afternoon. The operation is family-run with love and passion. Please keep it that way, Tim.

We visited Yorkshire Heart Vineyard for breakfast, a sparkling wine flight & tour in early February. We were made to feel so welcome. The breakfast was delicious & we loved the Kathleen Sparkling Rose. We were welcome to stay as long as we wanted to & there are lovely walks you can do in the Vineyard. Would highly recommend visiting.

We had such a lovely time at Yorkshire Heart Vineyard & Brewery 🍷 The wine tasting was fantastic — smooth, fresh and full of flavour. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience feel like visiting friends rather than a formal tour ❤️ We also stayed for a light lunch — I had the meat option, my husband went for the fish, both delicious! I couldn’t resist trying their Christmas ale too 😄 The vineyard itself is beautiful, peaceful and full of charm. You can really feel the passion and care behind everything they do. One of the most enjoyable experiences we’ve had this year — highly recommended! 🌿🍷
