The Wolds Way passes within reach of Willow Tree Cottage at Cottage Farm, and the 79-mile trail to Filey draws walkers through villages and rolling fields where hares box and deer move through the dawn. Cyclists find plenty of routes across these landscapes that inspired David Hockney. The coast—Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough—sits 11 to 13 miles east, a 20-minute drive to beaches, harbours, the Spa Theatre and Sewerby Hall.
The cottage itself sits on the ground floor with three bedrooms (one kingsize, one double, one single) and one bathroom, sleeping five. A living and dining room has a woodburner, freeview television and sound equipment; the kitchen is fully fitted with oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. There's a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard, along with initial fuel for the wood burner. Parking for two cars is on site.
An enclosed garden with patio and barbecue looks out towards the fields. The setting suits families and friends looking for countryside walking or cycling breaks, with a cosy base to return to. No smoking throughout.
