Arbeia Lodge

Arbeia Lodge is a single bedroom property set up for two people with everything needed for a complete getaway. The open plan living space contains a wood-burning stove, Smart TV and dining area that opens onto a decked terrace. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine. A jacuzzi bath and double shower occupy the bathroom, while the first floor bedroom has a kingsize bed with quality linens and robes provided. Wi-Fi, heating and towels are included; the wood burner's initial fuel is too.

Outside, the private hot tub sits in its own area accessible from the bedroom via French doors. The grounds contain a decked sitting area with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is parking for one car and a bike store. A welcome pack arrives on check-in, and afternoon tea can be ordered in advance by arrangement. The property does not accept hen or stag parties—couples and family groups only. One well-behaved pet is allowed. Smoking is not permitted indoors.

The lodge stands on elevated ground near the River Derwent in Northumberland, with views across the valley. The immediate area offers opportunities for fishing permits and water activities through a local boathouse, a short distance away.
